 Prompt:
The topic that challenged me the most was the one about pressure to fit in. I feel that I have been in control of my life for the most part and able to stay away from peer pressure. This made it difficult for me to create a simile or metaphor as I had to embellish a very small example of peer pressure. The example I ended up choosing was about being left out on the playground.

Summary:
Today we worked on our posters for the similes and metaphors.

Reflection:
I enjoyed creating my poster.

 Prompt: A time I felt connected to nature was this summer when I went on vacation to Grand Teton National Park. This was the first time that I had seen huge animals up close as bison lined the sides of the road and moose drank at many of the lakes. The top of Grand Teton itself seemed to never draw any closer, no matter how far we hiked. The largeness of everything in the park made me feel how insignificant a human is compared to the vastness of nature, but it also made me feel how important it is to protect it. Summary: Today we took notes about Native American literature and different types of stories. Reflection: I learned what the components of an origin myth are.

Prompt: Write about a time when you were judged unfairly.

 Prompt: A time I was judged unfairly was when I didn't complete an assignment in class. It was a Friday and my teacher had assigned an assignment that I didn't want to do, but it was designed to help us study for an exam. I chose not to do it in class and thought that I would do it over the weekend as it wasn't graded and only for review. When my teacher saw that I hadn't done anything (I was working on a different assignment), she got mad and asked why I hadn't done anything, even though many others had also not done anything. Summary: Today in class we completed a common lit. Reflection: I didn't really enjoy the article that the common lit was about.
