 Prompt:
The thing that I enjoyed most about this class was that it is 5th period, meaning that it is a longer class period. This made it easier to get work done on time and reduced my stress as I had less homework after school. The poetry poster was my favorite assignment because it allowed me to be creative and it connected with the poetry aspect of class. One area that I feel I need improvement on is my writing skills.

 Prompt: My mother has been the strictest when it comes to discipline. Her approach to discipline is more based on how she is feeling at the time. Write about a time you felt connected to nature, like the kinship in Native American myths.

 Prompt: A time I felt connected to nature was this summer when I went on vacation to Grand Teton National Park. This was the first time that I had seen huge animals up close as bison lined the sides of the road and moose drank at many of the lakes. The top of Grand Teton itself seemed to never draw any closer, no matter how far we hiked. The largeness of everything in the park made me feel how insignificant a human is compared to the vastness of nature, but it also made me feel how important it is to protect it. Summary: Today we took notes about Native American literature and different types of stories. Reflection: I learned what the components of an origin myth are.
