The craziest news story that I have heard recently was the stealing of the crown jewels from the Louvre. This shocked me because I did not believe that this would be possible as crown jewels are usually under heavy security. It shocked me how simple it was for the robbers to take the jewels and how fast it happened. Lots of other people were shocked when this happened and it revealed that confidence in what you are doing can make it easy for people to think you are supposed to be doing what you are doing.

In hindsight, it was obvious what happened to Homer as soon as he went missing.

 Prompt: A time I felt connected to nature was this summer when I went on vacation to Grand Teton National Park. This was the first time that I had seen huge animals up close as bison lined the sides of the road and moose drank at many of the lakes. The top of Grand Teton itself seemed to never draw any closer, no matter how far we hiked. The largeness of everything in the park made me feel how insignificant a human is compared to the vastness of nature, but it also made me feel how important it is to protect it.
