If I was learning about Hispanic/Latino heritage for the first time I would want to know about what foods are common for that culture. I would want to know where the foods came from and what they signify in the culture. I would also want to know what some celebrations are in Hispanic culture. There are many holidays in German culture such as Oktoberfest and I would want to know what holidays are like that in Hispanic culture.

Summary:
Today we continued learning about how to write an essay.

Reflection:
I knew a lot of the techniques already however I learned that there are a lot more steps to editing than I thought.

 Prompt: A time I felt connected to nature was this summer when I went on vacation to Grand Teton National Park. This was the first time that I had seen huge animals up close as bison lined the sides of the road and moose drank at many of the lakes. The top of Grand Teton itself seemed to never draw any closer, no matter how far we hiked. The largeness of everything in the park made me feel how insignificant a human is compared to the vastness of nature, but it also made me feel how important it is to protect it. Summary: Today we took notes about Native American literature and different types of stories. Reflection: I learned what the components of an origin myth are.
