Write a blog post where you share at least two of your most burning questions about life and explain why these questions matter to you.

Prompt:
My two most burning questions about life are why does life exist and how are there so many different religions. I want to know why life exists because to me there does not seem to be a reason for the first microbes to form and later crawl out of the sea. Also, does that mean that all life is essentially inbred from the same common ancestor? I also find it interesting that there are so many different beliefs about whether there is a god and if so how many and all the other things that people believe about religions. 

Summary:
Today in class we started working on our origin myths.

Reflection:
I learned how to plan a story using key details about what my ideas are.

 Prompt: My mother has been the strictest when it comes to discipline. Her approach to discipline is more based on how she is feeling at the time. This approach means that if I am nice to her she is nice to me. It has taught me to treat other people the way you want to be treated. Summary: The Rockpile is about a boy who is disobedient and ends up injuring himself. Reflection: This makes me think about how my parents disciplined me.

Write about a time you felt connected to nature, like the kinship in Native American myths.

 Prompt: A time I felt connected to nature was this summer when I went on vacation to Grand Teton National Park. This was the first time that I had seen huge animals up close as bison lined the sides of the road and moose drank at many of the lakes. The top of Grand Teton itself seemed to never draw any closer, no matter how far we hiked. The largeness of everything in the park made me feel how insignificant a human is compared to the vastness of nature, but it also made me feel how important it is to protect it. Summary: Today we took notes about Native American literature and different types of stories. Reflection: I learned what the components of an origin myth are.
